Charlene White emotionally shared a photo of her late father’s ashes being scattered two days before her sister’s wedding.

The ITV journalist and Loose Women host told fans how his father Denniston’s final resting place is in Jamaica after the family scattered his ashes in the Caribbean Sea.

Charlene announced his death in October 2025 and revealed that he tragically took his own life after “living with a dark cloud that he couldn’t lift.”

On social media on Wednesday, the TV star shared an emotional image of three of her grandchildren looking out to see.

She wrote: “There are so many unknowns about why he chose the time of his death, but what we know for sure is that he would have wanted to be taken home to his native country.

‘As much as it was a journey filled with so much emotion and pain, it was also filled with joy.

This photo was taken at my sister Gemma’s wedding two days after she was dispersed, with the children dressed in their wedding dresses. On her special day, we laughed, danced, and were grateful to be there. It reinforced the fact that, although she is no longer with us, she left us the gift of love.

Continuing, Charlene said her “heart ached” being on the island without her beloved father by her side.

She wrote: ‘I can’t begin to tell you how much he would have loved having us all there. After every joke told and every memory shared, someone would pause, shake their head, and say, “Dennis would have loved that.”

“You can wish and pray for things to be different a million times over, but some decisions are final.

The mother of two concluded her tribute: “But at least now he will forever be part of the waters that never left his heart, no matter the decades he spent in London: the splendid, beautiful, and captivating Caribbean Sea.”

Last October, Charlene took to Instagram where she heartbreakingly confessed that she had spent “many, many hours” wondering why her father had decided to take his own life.

In a lengthy caption, she wrote: “This week we said our final goodbyes to my father. Two services and a huge wake… hundreds of people came to celebrate a man who meant so much to so many.

We’ve spent many hours wondering why he decided to take his life, and we’ll undoubtedly spend many more. But the reality is, we may never know, and we must find a way to live with that truth.

“But what we do know is that we don’t want others to feel like they have no choice but to succumb to the darkness, nor do we want any other family to be left with the pain, suffering, and anguish we are now living with.”

Charlene has a son, Alfie, nine, and a daughter, Florence, seven, with her TV executive partner Andy.

Before her father’s death, Charlene faced heartbreak when her best friend Darrell died of sarcoma cancer.

Charlene was just 20 years old when her mother Dorrett died of bowel cancer at the age of 47.

She first explained that, after finding out she was pregnant, Charlene “was fine” but the pain came unexpectedly.

“I was fine with it, I took the test, I was completely fine with it.” But there was a moment, when I started showing and I was in the bathtub,” she recalled, “I was looking at the lump in my belly and I realized that I would have to learn to be a mother when I was left motherless.

The only person I needed to guide me through this truly important moment in my life wasn’t there. That was the only moment I completely lost it and cried and cried.

“I couldn’t stop because pain comes when you least expect it, and when I gave birth to Alfie, it was that realization that your mother is the only person you feel physically connected to.”
